In our Visual Art program, students engage in a wide variety of assignments designed to build both technical skills and creative thinking. Assignments include sketchbook studies for daily practice and idea development, workbook exercises to strengthen understanding of techniques, and major drawing and painting projects that challenge students to apply their skills in more refined works. Students also explore 3D art forms, gaining hands-on experience with sculpture and design. Critical thinking is encouraged through art critiques, art history connections, and gallery walks with peer feedback, allowing students to learn from one another and from artistic traditions. Finally, students work on portfolio-building assignments to showcase their growth and prepare for future opportunities in the arts.
