What is Hand Emberoridery?
Hand embroidery is the art of decorating fabric by hand with a needle, thread, beads, sequins, and other embellishments. Artists use different stitches to create outlines, solid areas, shading, patterns, texture, flowers, leaves, lettering, and dimensional details. Embroidery can be worked on cotton, linen, denim, felt, silk, wool, and many other fabrics. It develops patience, precision, color awareness, craftsmanship, and creative expression while allowing students to transform simple fabric into a unique work of art.
